About my project

We, all had to write paper for one topic in this program.

My topic is euthanasia.

I would like to live for long satisfied that I have accomplished what I could, and I want

to die peacefully with enough warning to say good-bye.

I think most of us would like to do.

Today, we have many problems in bioethics and they are becoming to close to us personally.

The modern medicne has helped to provide us with longevity but it imposes on us responsibility

for much the distress experienced at the end of life.

Now, medicine can add years to life, but cannot shorten it because of legal restraints.

Recently, citizens in the three states in the U.S. treied to establish their own laws by referendum.

These states are Oregon, Washington and California. Oregon actually enacted the new law.

Now, euthanasia is a big issue in the U.S. I think. Then, I chose euthanasia for my topic.

I read books and articles. I also made a survey about people in Stanford University and medical sutudents.

I interviewed them and I could know thier opinions. I was surprised that anout half people feel negative

anbout it, and most of them are Catholics.

Then, I had a conclusion but I think I finally made a conclusion.

I feel positive about euthanasia and this conclusion was a little lack of faithfulness for my survey.

I think I could do good sutudy but I have to think about my paper on some points.

I want to turn this experience to advantage!!
